MontanaCans LOOKBOOK 2023 Issue #8 It's that time again to welcome the release of the Montana Cans Lookbook 2023 edition #8. There is no rewind button on life, making it all the more important to reflect on the year that was, and the things that happened during that period. The Montana-Cans Lookbook does just that and reflects on some of the highlights from the year prior. A moment to reflect on those things that may not have received as much shine as they deserved while being "in the moment". www.montana-cans.blog

LAIA isn’t all fun and

LAIA isn’t all fun and games though. Apart from beingprolific, her creative concepts are also quirky, innovative, and symbolic. Often using known pop cultureicons like the smiley face, LAIA’s creative reach hasextended well beyond Barcelona. Dynamic colorsapplied in opaque solid modes complement therefined images that have found their way on art prints, canvases, walls, bags, and even clothing. Rainbows, smiling faces, drips, bubbles, and arrows are justsome of the universal elements that LAIA has managedto give her personal touch.Proving once again that less can be more, LAIA’s designfor the 23rd Montana BLACK Artist Edition can designuses the colors yellow, black, and white to get her jovialmessage across.LAIA isn’t all fun and gamesthough. ← A graffiti tradition.Nothing hides an identityfrom the paparazzilike a Montana BLACKcan in front of your eyes.MCWhere does graffiti fit into your life at the moment? Areyou a graffiti writer doing other things to survive, areyou a designer with a graffiti habit, or is it completelydifferent for you? What drives you to get up and getgoing each day?LAIARight now graffiti fits everywhere in my life. It’s myhobby, my passion, and it’s also my job, I don’t workexclusively just painting, but I do work doing 100%graffiti-related things. Designs for brands, collaborations, murals, and whatever comes my way. Every day isa new adventure, and every project is different. I alsohave a small online store. I can say that I have become aworkaholic now that I like what I do, and that is anincredible motivation to get up every day and continuedoing what I like the most. When I started painting, Iwould never have thought that this could be happening,it’s wonderful. An Interview with Spanish graffiti artistLAIAMontana CansTell us a little about where LAIA is at right now.LAIAAt the moment I find myself living between Valencia andBarcelona, which was my hometown. Two years ago Idecided to move to Valencia in search of peace and calmto be able to work while listening to the birds. This wasimpossible in Barcelona. There, I lived in the center of thecity and worked in the city center. So, I never really leftthe “stress zone”. I needed the calm that Valencia has tooffer, which is a big city but at the same time a lot morepeaceful. Now I miss Barcelona. It’s a strange love/hatething. When I need movement, hustle, and bustle, I go toBarcelona. And for the rest, I stay in Valencia.↑ “La, La, La”, but noblah blah.← No undercoatingneeded. One of thereasons why LAIAturns to the MontanaBLACK 1030 Yellow torock the spot.MCIf you had to choose one of the two cities permanently, which would it be?LAIAIf I had to stay permanently in one of them, I would stayin Barcelona.Black Artist Edition/Interview Laia19
