It’s been an exhilarating year, filled with events, collaborations, and of course, our continuous commitment to fostering the vibrant culture of graffiti and street art. The past year, we’ve journeyed through numerous Jams and events, championing the graffiti culture and creating opportunities for artists to interact and showcase their work. Our involvement ranged from facilitating platforms for emerging talents to celebrating the contributions of legendary figures in the graffiti world. This was done using a sketching process, finding typogaphic forms within the variations produced by the software. ALONE HM, Alsino Skowronnek, Theodor Guelat, and Team Flight Mode have diverse backgrounds: trainwriting, painting, data science, film directing, curating and publishing. Together, they set out on a journey into uncharted territory pushing the boundaries of creativity and merging their expertises. The process of painting based on previously accumulated data reveals a lot about human learning, not only in the field of graffiti. It points to how refreshing a partial unlearning of these traditional norms can be. Reflecting on both artificial and human iterations of designs, the outcome is exciting and uncertain. While exploring, this method poses questions of agency and man-machine cooperation in creative visual media.
